Care Quality Commission
Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission ensure that healthcare providers offer safe, caring and effective care, to this they will carry out inspections to see if we comply with all the relevant regulations. The practice will be given two weeks notice of this visit and it will involve information gathering from management, staff and patients. If you happen to be visiting the practice on the day of inspection you may be asked to participate and offer your opinions in the way we work.
We have been working towards the required standards over recent years now and this has led to the upgrading of the clinical rooms and some changes to the building layout, particulary at Carterknowle.
Should the practice not meet any of the required standards, we will be given some time to put an action plan in place and then we would be re-inspected to make sure the required work has been done.
Carterknowle CQC Results
In September 2016 we had our Care Quality Commission inspection. The CQC is an independent regulator of health and adult social care in England that make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage all care services to improve.
Every organisation related to your health in England is subject to inspections carried out by the CQC, and opposite is an overview of our results.
