The practice is exploring ways that patients can book appointments. We are trialling a feature that will allow online requests for appointments and admin requests. This feature will hopefully provide a more streamlined way for patients to contact us. We are testing this system and is available weekdays –
Form is accessible from 0700 to 1030
This form can be used to put requests in before the practice phonelines (this includes on the day requests i.e. requests for same day appointments), please be mindful however that the practice staff are in from 0800 and your request will likely be reviewed then and not before. If you needed immediate medical attention before we are open, you should be phoning 111 or 999.
After 10:30, the form will become inaccessible. Our telephone triage systems will remain online throughout, and if you still wish to ring us, you may do so on the day (the telephone and online systems work alongside each other). We will review our findings and see if this system works for us and our patients, and feedback is welcome. If it does, we will arrange further trials with a view to a roll out of the system.
We would ask that all same day appointment requests come in before 1030. Appointment requests after this run the risk of us not having any appointments to give out, after which we will signpost patients to other services such as the walk-in centre or 111
