Carterknowle and Dore Medical Practice welcomes people with disabilities, and this statement has been developed to address the more common issues that people with a disability may face.

Carterknowle practice is situated on Carterknowle Road. You may alight and unload in front of the practice. Disabled parking is available.
Patient entry to the practice is through the front entrance with ramp access from the car park. There is an intercom to allow communication with our reception team, who will assist entry as required. Entrance has electric swing doors. The reception desk has both high and low levels, suitable for all visitors.
Access to the reception, waiting room, toilets and consulting rooms is possible with a wheelchair. We do also have consulting rooms on the first floor.
Our lift has audible enunciation and tactile buttons with braille at a suitable height. The lift serves the ground floor and floor 1.
An accessible toilet is located on the ground floor with level access and is fitted with grab rails and an alarm.
A hearing loop is available at reception upon request.
The entire practice is non-smoking.
Guide dogs are welcome.
Smoke detectors, alarms and emergency lighting are on all floors.
Interpreters can be arranged on request.
