Nurse Debbie Auger

Nurse Practitioner

Debbie qualified in 1987 at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and began her nursing carer on a medical ward at the Hallamshire hospital before transferring to the Emergency Department in 1988.  Debbie worked in the Emergency Department for 24 years, 17 years as a Sister.  She became an Emergency Nurse Practitioner in 1998.  During this time Debbie obtained her Minor Illness Management module towards her degree and became and Independent Prescriber. 

Debbie joined the practice in April 2012.  Debbie’s special interests are in Contraception, and recently qualified in the insertion and removal of the contraception implant.  She became an associate member of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health Care, royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015.

Nurses

Our practice nurses are available to give general advice concerning health matters. They offer an extensive range of services including Asthma Clinics, Diabetic Clinics Coronary Heart Disease Clinics and travel health services.

The Healthcare Assistants/Phlebotomists assist with some of the nursing duties such as new patient screenings and taking blood samples and blood pressures.
